Christmas with Caleb

Very laid back Christmas this year as we hunkered down here in L.A.. We were all a little under the weather and with Christmas on a Monday and work the next day it just didn't feel like a full-blown holiday. More like a three-day weekend. Caleb still made out like a bandit, though.

We went down to the Rose Bowl to preview the floats before the big parade. It's one thing to see them on TV but it's another to be able to walk right up to them and see every individual flower.

Thanksgiving Caleb

This year's Turkey Day involved an East coast tour that started with a week in Tallahassee and continued on with another week in New Jersey. Had turkey with the Watson family and got to see a couple of FSU football games while we were in Tally. Then we headed up to NJ for my office holiday party and spent time with Dani's family. Went into NY and saw the tree at Rockefeller Center and all the holiday-themed windows around town. Caleb now knows the difference between a Southern and a Yankee accent.

Halloween party

Saturday night our friends had a Halloween party and your man Caleb arrived as his favorite web-slinger. His friend Ava was impressed by his muscles and had to try out the mask and gloves which made for a great 'Spider-fairy-girl' costume.

Had the pleasure of seeing Tim Burton's 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' in 3-D at the historic El Capitan Theatre. I'm pretty sure Dani was more excited than anyone there. If you haven't seen a 3-D movie since JAWS I highly recommend putting on some silly looking glasses soon. It was fun to see the goths mixed in with the families, too. Fit right in with the Halloween theme.



I had fun watching Caleb take the glasses off and on to see the difference over and over again. I'll admit it took some getting use to at first but your eyes sort of relax into that 'magic eye'-mode eventually.

Our friends SHRINE and Jesse had an art reception this past weekend (Transport Gallery) and your man Caleb arrived as his superhero alter-ego, Spiderman. Needless to say, Spidey's presence at the opening was well received. It's only fitting that Spidey took some photos of his own since Peter Parker was a photographer for the Daily Bugle. (watch your back Last Night's Party)

Art House Caleb

We recently went over to our friend Brent's place, which is unlike dropping by any of our other friend's places. The pictures pretty much speak for themselves. I guess some would say it's like Howard Finster's 'Paradise Gardens', only it's in Pasadena and much cooler. Caleb had a blast exploring everything and has gotten pretty handy with the digicam.

Caleb visits Cartoon Network

Dani volunteered with Villa Esperanza this past spring and worked with special needs children to create amazing works of art. Caleb was able to attend most of the classes and really got into it. Tonight, Cartoon Network held a reception and mini-exhibition of the children's art in the lobby of their office in Burbank and we went over to enjoy in the fun. Here are some of the pics from the evening's festivities.
